2019

Audiences at Gorey Little Theatre were treated to an absolute feast of music, drama, song and dance over two nights last week as the students of Gorey Community School staged their annual Bene Merenti concert.

Produced by Sara Clancy, a music teacher at GCC, along with former students Stephen Acton, Áine Collier and Karen Dunbar, the show was compèred by Elaine Dunne and Daniel Sinnott.

Over the two nights students showcased their creativity in a range of areas from musical medleys to Trad, and from rousing choirs to harmonious vocal ensembles.

The show was an outstanding presentation of talent and student collaboration which wowed audiences. The overall winner was Hilda Browne, with Eimear Wildes and Rebecca Finn awarded joint 2nd prize while Oliver Gahan and Hannah Kenny were awarded joint 3rd prize.
