Choir

Gorey Community School Choir 2012 consists of approx. 40 members ranging from 12-18yrs old. A secondary school mixed choir including all years from 1st to 6th yr, the choir rehearses once a week under the baton of Ms Sara Clancy. Over the years the choir has participated in many choral competitions to great success and each year grows from strength to strength. This is the choir’s first time to enter the Lyric FM Carols for Christmas Competition and great fun has been had by all - both choir members and conductor alike - in producing our first recording. The piece we have decided to record for the competition is an old English carol written by St. Godric arranged by Irish composer Michael McGlynn.

Ms Clancy would like to take this opportunity to thank her 5th yr students Colin Doran and Jack McEvoy for all their help in all things technological.
