6th class students from Gorey Central School, Gorey Educate Together, Craanford Camolin, Ballygarret and Ballythomas National schools receiving their certs from Lorraine O’Gorman Director Wexford Education Support Centre.
GCS hosted 6 STEM workshops including a workshop from Maynooth University (MU) staff with their Lego sustainable city. Almost 100 6th class students had a hands experience of STEM subjects. They said that they all really enjoyed it and found it so interesting. They loved being in the labs and specialised rooms, it gave them a feel of what is to come next year.
The event was organised by GCS in conjunction with Wexford Education Support and MU. The purpose of the event was to promote interest in STEM subjects and give a positive experience of Second Level easing the transition to the next stage in learning.
