Dear Parents,
I hope you are all well and managing to keep warm in the current cold snap.
I have the following items to bring to your attention.
1. TY Application Process 2025
A TY Information Presentation for 3rd Year parents will take place in The Oratory on Wednesday December 11th at 6.30.
The 3rd Year students will receive their presentation during the school day on Friday December 6th.
The TY application forms will be available from Reception and the school website from Friday November 22nd.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 3.45 on December 16th and applications are to be returned to Reception.
2. The school App
This is a reminder to download the school app. From December 16th, most communications from the school will be made through the App and it is important that all parents have access to it.
If you do not have the facility to download the app please let me know.
Please download the iClassCMS App on either iStore or Playstore at the links below.
App Validation Code : 79366
Note: Parents must use the same email that they use for Vsware.
3. November Assessment Reports
The reports will be available on VS Ware and a hard copy will be posted to all homes by Monday December 2nd
4. Parent Teacher Meetings
The attendance at last night’s 3rd Year Parent Teacher meeting was wonderful with almost 80% attendance. The 5th Year Parent Teacher meeting will take place in The Gym on Wednesday December 4th at 4.15 and a similar level of attendance would be gratefully appreciated. The feedback from teachers is very important as it can help to support the students in achieving the best possible outcomes.
5. Careers Expo
GCS and Creagh College are hosting the above event in the Ashdown Park Hotel on Wednesday November 27th. .This is a great opportunity for TY,5th and 6th year students to explore a wide variety of future careers.
Please note that full school uniform must be worn.
6. 3rd/6th Mock Fees
The mock fees can be paid in two instalments on line and I would be grateful if they could be paid by December 16th.
7. Unexpected student illness/medical appointments
Reminder
If a student becomes ill during the school day they can see the Principal or a Deputy Principal. Students are not to contact home from school independently as all contact with home will be made by Reception.
If you get an unexpected medical appointment during the school day and need to collect your child, please send me an e mail to this effect.
Thank you again for your continued support.
Kind Regards
