I hope you are all well despite the rain and wind earlier.
I have a few items to bring to your attention.
Flu Vaccines
These will be administered tomorrow. A few parents have contacted me looking for a Consent Form, so I am attaching a form with this e mail.
The students will bring the completed form with them to receive the vaccine when it is announced.
Junior Cycle Results
The JC Results will be available on Wednesday October 7th. TY students will have no classes on the day and will be invited to come to the school at 11.15am to collect the results.
5th year students will have class as normal and those who are receiving results will be called to Reception at 11.15.
Car Parking
Student drivers' use of the school’s outer car park is restricted to the students who formally applied to park on school grounds. Please remember that the cars cannot be used at lunchtime unless the student has signed out for an appointment.
This regulation is in place to protect all members of the school community who use the school’s outer car park, both pedestrians and drivers.

Attendance
Monitoring and encouraging your child’s attendance is very important to us and I would like to remind you of the following procedures.
If a student is late in the morning, they must report to Reception before going to class.
If you child is absent due to illness etc., please send an e mail to

On the morning of the students return to school they are asked to present a note in the journal to the year head office by 8.40.
This multifactor approach is to ensure that both you and GCS can monitor your child’s attendance effectively.
5th Year Devices
The devices have all been delivered to the students at this stage and I have had enquiries from a few parents who have not yet purchased the device. The online shop is now open and I am attaching the guide.
